Newport Pre-Race Headquarters

New York Yacht Club - Harbour Court

The New York Yacht Club’s Sailing Center, located at the Harbour Court clubhouse at 5 Halidon Avenue, Newport, is the pre-race headquarters for the 2012 Newport Bermuda Race.

Harbour Court Club House

Newport Bermuda Race participants may enjoy use of Harbour Court during the week of Sunday, June 10, through Friday, June 15.  A guest card may be arranged at the Quartermaster’s desk, located in the entry foyer of the clubhouse, or by email at quartermastershc@nyyc.org. The card entitles use of the club’s restaurant and bar and should be presented to service staff upon arrival.  All charges will be settled by credit card.

The Bolero Grill

The Bolero Grill, the club’s casual dining restaurant, is open Monday through Sunday for lunch and dinner.  Reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more.

New England Lobster Dinner

Thursday, June 14
On Thursday, June 14, from 1800 to 2100 the New York Yacht Club will host a special New England Lobster Dinner in honor of the race.  The price is $60 per person, including service.  Reservations are required and may be made by calling (401) 846-1000 or emailing dininghc@nyyc.org.

Dress Code

Casual dress is permitted during the daytime hours and in the evening in the Bolero Grill and the Sailor’s Terrace overlooking the harbor.   Denim blue jeans are not permitted and collared shirts are required after 1800 hours.

Private dining rooms are available throughout the week and may be reserved through the Special Events office, at parkj@nyyc.org
