Sailing, both competitive and cruising, has been a passion of mine since birth. I am constantly immersed in a sailing culture, with my father being an Olympic medalist in the sport, and my uncle being a Hall of Fame America’s Cup sailor. I began sailing Optimist prams, Vanguard 15s, and J/22s at The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia at a young age, and continue to spend my summers sailing out of Island Heights Yacht Club, on Barnegat Bay. As a family, we have spent much time racing and cruising auxiliaries on the Chesapeake Bay and the Northeastern waters of the United States, having spent several summers living aboard our 32’ center cockpit sloop. I was a member of the IHYC travel Laser Radial team, competing on the national and international level throughout my teenage years. In addition to being the captain of my high school’s collegiate 420 team, I coached Mantoloking Yacht Club’s advanced Opti racing team for three summers. Upon completion of my US Sailing Keel Boat Certification, I coached adult sailing on J-22s out of Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, Maine, during the summer of 2016. I continue to compete during the summer seasons and am looking forward to expanding further into offshore venues.
