Bio

Hello,

I am 24 years old and have a fair amount of nearshore and coastal sailing experience. I have recently returned from a sail to and from – Delaware to Key West, FL aboard my own boat. (It was a sort of “early retirement”) After graduating from the University of Vermont with a bachelor’s in Civil Engineering I decided to pursue a long-time dream of sailing to Key West. Once I arrived there I immediately was hired as a marine mechanic, giving me a much more in depth understanding of marine systems. I have since returned home and currently practicing civil engineering in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. I am eager to join a boat in any capacity that the skipper sees fit and would love to participate in the regatta. Attached below is a brief highlight of my sailing experience:

Lewes Yacht Club | Lewes, DE | 2013 – 2015
• US Sailing Level II Small Boat Racing Coach
• Organized, managed, and coached amateur racing teams.
• Taught tactics and techniques for sailboat racing.

Rehoboth Bay Sailing Association | Rehoboth Beach, DE | 2004 – 2012
• Staff Member, Committee Member, Sailboat Maintenance
• US Sailing Level I Small Boat Sailing Instructor

Piscatequa Sailing Association | Piscatequa, NH | 2007 – 2009
• Race Committee. Responsible for setting up racecourses, judging race starts/finishes and logging results.

University of New Hampshire Junior Racing Team | Durham, NH | 2007 – 2009
• Competitively skippered FJ sailboats for individual and team regattas.
