Ive was put in a boat at the age of 4, and told to go! I raced in the Canadian Nationals, the Canada Games and represented Canada at the world Laser II championships in 1997 in Ireland. For a year, I was one of 3 crew on the last sailing tall freight ship left on earth where we sailed off the coats of South America and through the Caribbean.
Since then, Ive been on a race teams in all the cities Ive lived in, and each time, the boat Im on either comes 1st or 2nd overall for the season. I currently race a J36 out of Saint Margaret’s Bay Yacht Club in Halifax Nova Scotia. There, we have been the reigning champions for many consecutive years.
I have my ASA Level, 101, 103, 104 (bareboat cruising), and 105 (Coastal Navigation). Every year, I do sailing vacations in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
I am very capable of working the Deck, Main, Jib, Helm, Spin….. but most of all, I am very easy to get along with.

Also, I have this strange obsession with sail shape and I draw air flow diagrams on pieces of paper while Im on the phone with people.

This will be my first long distance race however I have done many over night, multi day sails.
