Bio

Getting out to sea each year for the Bermuda race is becoming my favorite pastime! From boat and race prep, the the Safety at Sea seminar, practice on the water, and, the race itself, it is all a labor of love. It is exciting to join so many others on this open ocean race.
I race, cruise and maintain my own boat, a Morris 32 in Boston, and am good at fixing things, cooking, steering, getting along with others. I have extensive dinghy and big boat racing experience in New England (as a skipper and crew). I am extremely fit, healthy, and have a sturdy stomach.
I carry a current USCG 100 Ton Masters license and I am a former Outward Bound instructor. I have developed good, conservative judgement, and a trusted and quiet confidence in my ability to get through even the most difficult of scenarios – with the big ocean or, more important, other people!
I enjoy all aspects of being a crew member and am flexible- able to fill any position aboard – helmsman, bowman, sailer trimmer, navigation, cooking. I just ask for a captain who is clear, direct and respectful. And a seaworthy vessel that can offer us the opportunity to enjoy racing with confidence to Bermuda.
I’m available for boat prep, practice, provisioning and the return trip home.
Hope to hear from you, Captain!
