I grew up on the water on the south shore of boston into a sailing family. I started sailing at the age of five in an n10. Sailing quickly became a passion that would consume me. From n10s I moved into 420s and for the last five years I have been sailing in the Mass Bay Hustler Class which although technically is a dinghy class, is sailed very much like an inshore keelboat. The Hustler class is extremely unique and challenging in that the other skippers are extremely experienced and performance is difficult however I was able to rise to the challenge and last year I placed second at the national championship. My passion for sailing shaped my goals for the future, while still sailing competitavely at a high level, I decided I would pursue a career in Naval Archicture. I started off at Stevens Institute of Technology where my first semester I was a B fleet skipper on the sailing team racing 420s and fj’s. At the end of the semester I was voted team captain however I decided not to return to Stevens. Instead in the fall I will be attending Webb Institute to double major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. I am looking for the bermuda race to be my pathway into competitive keelboat racing. I am extremely motivated and hard-working. I look to improve every aspect of myself and aim to be the absolute best at whatever I do. My philosophy is that if you arent reaching 100 percent for your goals, then whats the point. If I get on a boat, the team I am placed with will not be disapointed. They will find me to be a great asset and a fantastic communicator. Please see my resume for more about me.
