Please do not hesitate to contact us at one of the email addresses listed at the bottom of this bulletin if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on the starting line on June 17, 2016.

Safety Requirements FAQ

We are maintaining a list of Frequently Asked Questions on the race website to help explain the race’s rules and procedures.  Here are two of the most recent updates:

  • Personal AIS beacons are not required for each lifejacket in the 2016 edition of this race.
  • Satellite systems that require a separate smartphone to make or receive telephone calls do not satisfy the satellite phone requirement found at paragraph 3.11.3 of the race’s Safety Requirements.

SHIP Your Yacht Back to Newport After the Race

A limited amount of space is available for shipping your yacht from Bermuda back to Newport aboard a lift-on/lift-off ship.  A minimum number of bookings are required by February 1, 2016 to schedule the ship’s call at Bermuda.
