Registration for the 2016 Newport Bermuda Race opens via the race website in approximately two weeks, on January 12, 2016.  A Guide to Entry and schedule of important deadlines and events is provided below for your planning purposes.

An amended Notice of Race is now posted on the race website's Official Notice Board.  The amendment brings minor edits for rewording and a more significant change to RRS 41(c), which concerns outside information.

Registration for the CCA's March 19-20, 2016 Safety-at-Sea Seminar in Newport, RI is open online at this link.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at one of the email addresses listed at the bottom of this bulletin if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you on the starting line on June 17, 2016.

Kind regards,

A. J. Evans

  • Personal AIS beacons are not required for each lifejacket in the 2016 edition of this race.
  • Satellite systems that require a separate smartphone to make or receive telephone calls do not satisfy the satellite phone requirement found at paragraph 3.11.3 of the race's Safety Requirements.
