All Sailors are expected to pre-clear Bermuda Immigration:
ALL sailors are to pre-clear with Bermuda Immigration at Sail Newport. Bermuda Immigration officers will be on site at Sail Newport starting Monday the 15th through Thursday 18 June 1800 to pre-clear all sailors, see Newport Logistics for detailed hours.
All sailors must submit a digital Bermuda Arrival Card. Enter arrival date of 21 June. A passport and the Bermuda Arrival Card confirmation email must be presented for each sailor.
Sailors may present for pre-clearance individually, but to speed processing it is recommended that a representative from each vessel bring multiple (all) passports and corresponding Arrival Card Confirmation emails to accomplish pre-clearance on behalf of the crew. Crew are encouraged to coordinate and clear as many members as possible, as early as possible during the week. At the end of the week, queuing times will be highly unpredictable as latecomers are processed.
All PICs/Owners must register and submit an Arrival Notice on SailClear:
Captains must set up an account and a boat registration on SailClear.com, and prepare and submit the Arrival Notification for the passage to Bermuda. The arrival notice should be submitted at any time prior to the start of the race and as soon as you are confident that your crew list will not change. The crew list on your Arrival Notice must match the crew list on the entry system confirmed at on-site registration. The Captain/PIC should perform these steps on SailClear:
- Create a user account on SailClear
- Add your boat to the Vessel List
- Add all sailors to the ‘Crews List’
- Create and Submit an Arrival Notification
