Presenters include boatbuilders, riggers, and experienced ocean sailors from Brewer Yacht Yard Group, plus Newport Bermuda Race inspectors and other officials. They and attendees will engage in extensive Q & A and hands-on demos, plus tours of race-ready boats that will be led by their owners.

Comments from recent Offshore Preparedness Seminar participants:

"Great overview of safety requirements, interacting with other sailors considering the Newport Bermuda Race, talking with inspectors and other Race Committee personnel.  I went home and began a spread sheet to help organize me in getting ready for next year." (Linda R., Newport)

"Agenda was comprehensive, experience of presenters was real, and there was allowance for specific questions and interpretations." (Justin C., Annapolis)

"The list of equipment requirements was what I needed to know most.  Even if I were not planning to race the Newport Bermuda Race, most of these requirements would be important for getting a boat ready for a significant offshore passage, which I am planning to do." (Larry C., Annapolis)
