Our 2024 Race HQ will be at Sail Newport, in Ft. Adams State Park.
The location offers excellent space for our competitors and volunteers, easy access by land and sea. Sail Newport is one of the premier public-access sailing organizations in the country, and we appreciate their willingness to host the Newport Bermuda Race at their facility.
You can ride a launch from downtown at Sayer's Wharf across the harbor to visit the Race Headquarters at Sail Newport in Fort Adams. Launches leave every hour on the hour, starting at 8:00AM. Plus on Tuesday through Thursday: starting at 11:00 AM, service will be every half hour until 4:30PM

The start of the Newport Bermuda Race is a spectacular sight, and for the first time in the 118 history of the Race, the starting line will be up close to the shoreline and viewable for spectators at Fort Adams. We will have a Live Broadcast with commentary, aerials, and professional video coverage of all the action that can be streamed online or seen via a Jumbotron in the State Park.
You are also welcome to join on the water, with more than 200 boats maneuvering and starting off Castle Hill in multiple classes. The first gun is expected at 1:00 p.m., and the last start, by 3:30pm. Watch from the shore, the water, or online.
