We are delighted to announce that Cole Brauer, the first American woman to race solo around the world, will be joining us at the Starting Line Party for a meet-and-greet followed by serving as our on-water reporter for the globally streamed Live Show. Cole's impressive achievements include sailing solo in her Class 40, First Light, to finish second in the Global Solo Challenge this past March, and winning the Bermuda 1-2, a two-legged solo and double-handed race, last summer.
Cole will share her insights as a past competitor (having coached the youth team, Mudratz, onboard Spitfire in the 2022 Race) and experienced offshore sailor during the Live Show, now powered by Ørsted. She will be joined by North Sails President Ken Read and professional sailor Jesse Fielding. This expert commentary, in partnership with North Sails, is not to be missed. The live coverage will also feature aerial footage and all the action from the shoreline.
Additionally, Cole will be signing posters in the race village from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. before the Live Show begins at 2:00 p.m. We invite you to spend the afternoon of Friday, June 21st, with us at Fort Adams. Enjoy live music from The Ravers, food trucks, beverage services, and much more. RSVP below on Eventbrite to sign up to attend for free!
For those unable to join us in person, the Starting Line Live Show Powered by Ørsted will be streamed on bermudarace.com.
