The Sailing Instructions for the 2024 Newport Bermuda Race have been posted to the Official Noticeboard. Please review them in detail.  Also note that an amendment to the Notice of Race was posted last week.

As we gear up for the next phase of the race preparations, we have also have some important last-minute reminders to ensure you make the most of your race experience:

  1. Special Prizes Registration: Don't miss out on the opportunity to vie for the prestigious Special Prizes. Every year, there are crews who were eligible to win but missed out because they didn't notify us. To be considered for prizes such as the Stephens Youth Prize, Regional Trophies, City of Newport Trophy for international teams, and Team Trophies, applications are required. If not sure who from your club is sailing, head over to our Entry List and click download to find a team for your yacht club. The file will contain Club affiliations for your convenience.
  2. Gulf Stream Analysis by Frank Bohlen: Stay updated with the latest Gulf Stream analysis provided by Frank Bohlen, available on our website. His most recent analysis was posted on June 5th. Be sure to check back regularly as we approach the race date. Additionally, Frank will conduct a live briefing during our virtual skippers meeting at 5 pm on Thursday, along with a comprehensive weather briefing.
  3. Photo and Video Package Purchase: If you're interested in purchasing a photo or video package for your crew, this is your final opportunity to do so. These packages capture the essence and excitement of the race, providing lasting memories for your team. Individual photos will also be available for purchase after the race on our dedicated photo website.
  4. Newport Headquarters Hours: To facilitate a smooth onsite registration and immigration process, please take note of the following hours for Onsite Registration and Bermuda Immigration. Ensure you stay updated with all dates and times of events by referring to our calendar:
    • Onsite registration (for PICs):
      1. Monday - Wednesday: 9am - 4pm at Sail Newport
    • Bermuda Immigration (see Competitor Bulletin #9 for details)
      1. Monday - Tuesday: 9am - 4pm
      2. Wednesday: 8am - 5pm
      3. Thursday: 8am - 6pm

All PICs and Entry Managers, check your entry task list on the entry system before presenting for Registration at Sail Newport.  Only entries with ALL tasks cleared will be allowed to complete registration and be cleared to race.  If you (or your crew) have ANY outstanding tasks, please clear them before showing up for onsite registration.

We appreciate your attention to these reminders as we move closer to the race. Should you have any questions or require further assistance, feel free to reach out to our team.
