8 Ways to Follow the Bermuda Race:


The Newport Bermuda Race begins June 21st and boats will take anywhere from 2-5 days to arrive in Bermuda and here are eight fantastic ways to stay engaged with all the thrills and spills of this legendary event, whether you're in Newport or tuning in from across the globe.

  1. Starting Line Party at Fort Adams (June 21st, 1200-1600): Join us at Fort Adams for the ultimate viewing experience at our Starting Line Party! Witness the excitement of the 165 boats crossing the line bound for 636 miles to Bermuda, now conveniently located right off the shoreline for public access. Enjoy the Starting Line Live Show powered by Ørsted, featuring live commentary, music, food trucks, and our Regatta Bar featuring Goslings Rum and Whalers Beer. Don't miss the chance to meet Cole Brauer and groove to the tunes of The Ravers. Plus, commemorate your memories with 2024 Race Gear from Helly Hansen and Team One Newport, build your own wind turbine with Ørsted, or take your hand at the putting green with US Golf. Parking is FREE, or hop on the Providence Ferry, Jamestown Ferry, or Newport Harbor Shuttle for hassle-free access.
  2. Watch Online Worldwide: Can't make it to Newport? No worries! Tune in to our Starting Line Live Show powered by Ørsted streaming live on YouTube at 2:00pm EST. Get expert insights from Ken Read, Jesse Fielding, and Cole Brauer as they share captivating stories from all angles of the race.
  3. On-Water Viewing: While the park offers prime viewing, if you're out on the water, please prioritize safety. Follow directions from our Course Marshalls and note that traffic will be limited to the west and north sides of the starting line. Refer to our detailed spectator sheet for information. 
  4. Track the Teams: During the Race (June 21-26), keep up with boat locations using the Palm Beach Motor Yachts Race Tracker. Download the YB Races app or visit bermudarace.com where it will be embedded on the homepage for real-time updates.
  5. Stay Informed: Keep bermudarace.com bookmarked as your go-to hub for stories about teams, results, photos, and race news. Check back frequently for the latest updates. Starting Line Party & Live Show at Fort Adams

Schedule:

Friday June 21st

1200 - 1600: Starting Line Party

Doors will open for spectators at Fort Adams State Park at noon with music from The Ravers and Poster Signing with Cole Brauer. Food trucks, the Regatta Bar featuring Goslings Rum and Whalers Beer and New England Fare, and Lawn Games will be open. Helly Hansen and TeamOne Newport will have retail tents open for business, and other sponsors will be there to welcome you as well.

1400-1600: Starting Line Live Show powered by Ørsted

Delivering an immersive viewing experience never done before. Expert commentary in partnership with North Sails from President Ken Read, professional sailor, Jesse Fielding, and first American woman to race around the world solo, Cole Brauer will be accompanied by captivating aerial footage to bring the excitement of the start close-up for those onsite and online. The live stream of the Starting Line Live Show will be on a giant screen in the park and streamed on YouTube.com/BermudaRace.

1400-1600: The Race Begins

The fleet is grouped into classes and starting groups that will cross the line off the western shore of Fort Adams every 10 minutes starting at 1400.
