How to Follow the Racing from Fort Adams to Bermuda

7 Ways to Follow the Bermuda Race:

Before the race starts on Friday, June 21, 2024, you can keep up to date on race news by signing up for the Newport Bermuda Race Newsletter and following one of the race's social media accounts (Instagram or Facebook).

During the week before the start June 17-20, there are many things to do around Newport. You can ride a launch from downtown at Sayer's Wharf across the harbor to visit the Race HQ at Sail Newport in Fort Adams. Check out DiscoverNewport.org for more.

Join the Party on June 21st to Watch the Start at Fort Adams 1200-1600. This will be the best viewing available and it's free! New for 2024, the start has moved to right off the shoreline to allow for public access. We will be broadcasting the Starting Line Live Show starting at 1400 in the park with live commentary and an outdoor screen for aerial views. The doors will open at noon, and there will be food trucks, beverage service, music from The Ravers, shopping for Race Gear, and special tents from our sponsors - including a visit from the following week's Newport PGA Championship Trophy! Parking is FREE or use the Providence Ferry and Water Taxis from downtown Newport. (More Details)

Watching the start on the water, we believe the best experience is from the park, but if you are out there on the water, please be safe and follow all directions from our course Marshalls. Traffic will be limited to the west and north sides of the starting line. (See Chart Here for detailed information.)

Watch the start from anywhere in the world online, our Starting Line Live Show will begin at 2:00pm EST on YouTube and bermudarace.com. Tune in for professional commentary from Ken Read, President of North Sails and current Monohull Record Holder in the Bermuda Race, and Jesse Fielding, offshore racer and US Naval Academy Offshore Coach. They will be sharing all the stories from the race from a bird's-eye view.

During the Race (June 21-26), watch the adjacent Palm Beach Motor Yachts Race Tracker brought to you by Palm Beach Yachts as well as the News and Gallery sections of our website and especially our social media as we will be sharing directly from our competitors as they thrash their way to the onion patch.

After the Race, watch the Prize-Giving from Bermuda online right here on bermudarace.com.
