With 136 teams already signed up for the 2024 Newport Bermuda Race, the start on the 21st of June 2024 is looking to be a great lineup and as 2023 sails towards its close, we wanted to remind you about an important date in the Bermuda Race entry calendar. Effective December 22, 2023, the entry fee increases and refund amounts for cancelations decrease (see NOR 3.5).
Entry fee increase: To secure the lower rate, submit your entry and pay the 50% deposit by December 22, 2023. After this date, the entry fee increases to $75/foot for all divisions (except double-handed, which is $53/foot). Fees must be paid in full by April 7, 2024 - also, that is the last day to initiate entry.
Refundability: Paid deposits are refundable for any cancellation made by December 22, 2023 (less an administrative fee of US$250) after that, 50% of the deposit will be refundable for any cancellation made by February 22, 2024. Paid entry fees will not be refunded after February 22, 2024.
