Webinar Recap, June 15 – How to Enter the Bermuda Race
A few days before the entry system opened, Newport Bermuda Race organizers Andrew Kallfelz and Somers Kempe provided an introduction to the SailGate entry system, which opens today at 1300 EDT, one year ahead of the race start. This was the fifth pre-race prep webinar in a series. (All five are shown here.)
Discussion included how to add your boat, enter a division, and track the status of your task list on the Entry Dashboard. Kallfelz, the entry chair, went into more detail on who needs to fill out an Offshore Experience form and which boats are required to be inspected or may be self-inspected.
For those who entered the 2020 race, which was subsequently cancelled, a full credit toward entry deposits was also explained.
In addition to this video, prospective competitors were referred to the Entry Portal page, which includes an entry Checklist.
